indigo.ai prompts an e-commerce revolution with fully-automated virtual assistant
Belka's Department of AI Exploration is thrilled to announce the launch of indigo.ai's Indi-e, a new e-commerce plan featuring a fully-automated virtual assistant for Shopify businesses that could increase conversions by up to 20%.
Founded in 2016 by five fresh entrepreneurs from the Polytechnic University of Milan, indigo.ai develops innovative AI-powered virtual assistants for vast enterprise clients. When they saw an opportunity to serve smaller e-commerce businesses that also needed AI assistance, they came to Belka for help.
“We saw a gap in the market for Shopify store owners who wanted to improve customer engagement but found our enterprise solution way too complex,” explains Andrea Tangredi, Chief Product Officer at indigo.ai. “We’ve experienced Belka's expertise in creating intuitive digital products before and knew they would be the perfect partner for this project.”
Human Intelligence
“We built on Belka’s previously developed design system to create a simplified AI assistant with product catalog integration and automatic recognition of visual style and tone of voice,” says Diego Robaldo, Product Designer at Belka. Working with fellow designers Maria Sole Biondi and Mattia Marinangeli alongside developers Mattia Filardi and Benjamin Minarski, the teams were buzzing to help indigo.ai launch Indi-e.
The user-friendly version they developed allows Shopify store owners to create AI assistants without technical know-how. With a 24/7 virtual assistant who interacts just like a human, store owners can handle up to 96% of customer requests automatically.
“The design system we previously built for indigo.ai and the eager collaboration between our teams really fired up our inspiration to create this powerful new tool,” says Luca d'Incà, Belka's General Manager.
